As someone who loves personal and individual touches in any work, I was immediately drawn to the business cards that Typejockeys designed for Marlies Allmaier. They managed to make a medium that is easily stale into something unique, individualistic, and creative. Using a thick cardstock and a handlettered wooden stamp (remember those?) with basic colors of cream, black, and red, Typejockeys rendered up an image that is both striking and simple.
Based in Austria, this type design company speaks that coveted European graphic style of angular features and bold yet clean lines to me. More and more, I'm noticing the subtle differences in designs from locations all around the world. I look forward to sharing my findings with you here.
